Foo Fighters play Accor Stadium on Tuesday 10 November. Up to 60,000 people will leave at once, on a work night. Your concert ticket covers the trip home, and the last event bus out of the precinct goes at midnight.
The worry about a weeknight stadium show is not getting there. It is standing on Olympic Boulevarde at 11pm with work in the morning.
The night, in short
- When
- Tuesday 10 November, Accor Stadium
- Station
- Olympic Park, then a 10 minute walk
- Your fare
- included in the concert ticket, until 4am
- Buses in
- nine routes, all finished by 6.58pm

How do you get there after work?
Take a train to Lidcombe and change there. The shuttle to Olympic Park leaves from platform 0.
It goes every ten minutes and takes five. The 6.23pm from Lidcombe is at Olympic Park at 6.28pm, on platform 2.
On the night there are express and limited stop trains straight to Olympic Park as well. They run from Central and from stations in the west, from late afternoon.
From the station it is a 10 minute walk to the stadium, down Olympic Boulevarde.
Coming from the Hills or the north west?
Nine event bus routes run in for this show. They start as far out as the northern beaches, the Hills and the Sutherland Shire. Your concert ticket covers them.
The catch is the clock. The last of them leaves at 6.58pm, hours before the band plays. Each route picks up along the way, so the first time below is from the far end.
- Route 1A from Narrabeen Lakes: first bus 3.42pm, last bus 6.12pm.
- Route 1B from Warriewood: first bus 3.47pm, last bus 6.17pm.
- Route 2 from Glebe Point: first bus 4.15pm, last bus 6.45pm.
- Route 4 from Maroubra Beach: first bus 3.55pm, last bus 6.15pm.
- Route 5A from Hills Showground: first bus 4.33pm, last bus 6.58pm.
- Route 5B from Tallawong: first bus 4.20pm, last bus 6.45pm.
- Route 6 from Sutherland: first bus 6.12pm, last bus 6.42pm.
- Route 7 from Shark Park at Cronulla: first bus 3.45pm, last bus 6.05pm.
- Route 8 from Dural: first bus 4.28pm, last bus 6.58pm.
Route 6 is the tight one. It gives you thirty minutes and nothing after that.
On the metro, route 1A also picks up at Chatswood and North Ryde, and route 1B at Macquarie Park. Route 5A comes from Castle Hill too. Route 5B stops at Rouse Hill, Kellyville, Bella Vista and Norwest.
At metro stations a gate is kept open for people with a concert ticket.
Where does your bus home leave from?
There are two bus terminals at Olympic Park. They are not next to each other, which is the kind of thing you want to know before 11pm.
- Routes 1A, 1B, 2 and 4 use the Aquatic Terminal on Olympic Boulevarde near Herb Elliott Avenue.
- Routes 5A, 5B, 6, 7 and 8 use the Plaza Terminal further along near Kevin Coombs Avenue.
Buses leave about every five minutes once the show is over. The last one on each route goes by midnight.
What about the trains home?
Express trains run back frequently until late.
Check your line before you leave the house. There is trackwork that night on the T2, the T5 and the T8, and part of your trip home may be a replacement bus.
Allow extra time for that. Your concert ticket stays valid until 4am on Wednesday.
Check the live times before you walk back to the platform. A published frequency is the plan. The countdown is what is turning up.
If you were going to drive
Do not drive into the precinct without pre-booked parking. There is nothing to sort out on the night.
Parking is a flat $40 and it sells out. Booking closes at 11.59pm the night before.
Even with a space, allow up to an hour to get out of the car park afterwards.
Driving to a station is the version that works. Park & Ride gives you up to 18 hours free when you complete a public transport trip.
On the way out, press the intercom at the exit gate and show your concert ticket.
The car parks at the metro stations are big. Tallawong has 1,000 spaces and Bella Vista has 800. Kellyville has 1,389 with 150 more at Decora Drive. Hills Showground has 600. You can check the spaces before you leave.
The practical stuff
- Ferry: Sydney Olympic Park Wharf is 3.6km from the stadium, about a 40 minute walk. The 526 bus connects.
- F3 ferries are popular and can reach capacity.
- Taxi ranks on Herb Elliott Avenue at the Pullman Hotel, and on Edwin Flack Avenue opposite the stadium.
- Rideshare is geo-fenced around the precinct, and prices surge after the show.
- Accessible pick up and drop off in Dawn Fraser Avenue, off Edwin Flack Avenue.
- Roads in the precinct close before, during and after the concert.
- Airport stations: the station access fee is not covered by your concert ticket.
- Before the show there are food trucks and entertainment at Fig Grove, and the local cafes are open.
Get there early and eat in the precinct. The venues stay open after the concert as well, so you can let the car park queue go without you.
